Swami Vishwananda heals my sinusitis

Many people came for the Shivaratri ceremony. Because of the lack of space, an other devotee and I were sleeping in Swami Vishwananda’s bedroom. To make it more fun, the heating broke down in the main house. Fortunately, the heating in the temple and the other house still worked. Since my childhood I was suffering from chronic sinusitis and no remedy could ever cure it. A crisis started and I had to keep lying on my mattress in Swami’s room, swallowing salted waters through my nostrils to try and calm the sinuses. Visitors were coming in and out of his room. When dinner was ready, he told me:

- Christian, it’s time for dinner.

- You know, in this state and with my sinusitis, I’d rather stay here.

- No, you have to eat. Here – he does the cross sign on me – now you’re healed. Stand up and let’s go to eat.

I stood up and followed him to the dining room, head pounding. Sitting at the table, I felt that the pressure was diminishing and that I was feeling better. By the end of the dinner, I had no more headache. I very happily took part of the Shivaratri celebrations that lasted the whole night. However, on the last night of Shivaratri, my headache started again. In the room, Udhava spoke to Swami about a health problem. Swami took his hands and said: “it’ll be fine”.

- It’d be great if you could do something about my sinusitis…

Swami did as if he had heard nothing and went on chatting with Udhavananda. Five minutes later he turned towards me and said:

- Did you ask me something?

- Euh, yes, if you could do something for my sinusitis it would be great, because it started again tonight.

- Come here, he said, as he was placing his hands on my head. After one minute he said:

- Now, tomorrow you just have to put some of the water that poured from the Relic of St Maur.

- Thank you

The next morning, I woke up with still some pressure in my head. I kept in my head his last sentence and I thought, “let him not forget this water of St Maur! Maybe I should remind him? In any way, with or without this water he could cure me if he wants to. He doesn’t need water, it’s just an excuse not to be openly the healer of my sickness. It is mere humility.”

Swami entered the room and said: “bring me St Nectarius’ oil. He made the cross sign with the oil on my forehead and we went down for lunch. When reaching the bottom of the stairs, he held his back with both hands:

- Wow, I have such backache!

- Oh my God!

Swami entered the dining room. I was mortified. Sitting on the steps of the stairs I started crying. I understood that he took my Karma to prevent me from suffering. I couldn’t show my face because of the shame. Swami called me, I entered the dining room with somebody massaging his back. I sat and cried still.

- What’s the matter now?

- I am sure you’re suffering because of me. Because I couldn’t bear my suffering, you took it on my behalf and now your back is aching.

- I am not dying, you know!

During the following week, I was hearing cracks in my head, but I was not hurting any more. I asked him if the angels were busy repairing my sinuses, and he nodded.

Since then, I never had any sinusitis, even during the coldest winters. That’s the way I learnt that the Sat-Guru, by love, takes over the karma of his disciples. Sat-Gurus do not have karmas anymore, their illnesses are only the consequence of the karma they remove from other people. He is suffering on their behalf.

Divine Blessing from Swami Vishwananda on a AVC surgery

Vidula from Brasília, Brazil, who is an OM-Healing organizer wrote us about the following healing experience with Swami Vishwananda:

“It was Sunday, early morning...I woke up and slept again. In my dream Swamiji was in Brazil and after the Darshan we were in a church. Then, I noticed that Swamiji was talking to one of my cousins (she has never met Guruji in this life). They were sitting on one of the church' benches and the church was full of people sit down around them. My cousin who is very shy was talking a lot with Swami Vishwananda! And as she was talking in Portuguese! I thought “Does Guruji understand everything that Adriene is saying? I woke up feeling very happy because of that dream and to see my cousin with Guruji. Later on that day, my mum called me on the phone to tell me that Adriene suffered an AVC on that same day, early morning (3-4 a.m) and she was having a surgery to remove the blood clot from the brain...and exactly that morning I had that dream with her and Swamiji! To me that means that she was having divine protection! And then in my mind the connection was done to OM Healing because in every OM Healing Circle I always visualize all my family receiving healing. Adriene did really received a Divine Blessing from Guruji and Babaji because she recovered completely, without any AVC' consequences.”

How Swami Vishwananda healed a child from myositis ossifficans

Healing from a myositis ossifficans through the grace of Swami Vishwananda

The father of the child told this story the 15^th of January 2011. His son called Haresh Burun had is arm broken. The bone was not healing well and an abnormal growth could be seen on the arm. The doctor said they have to make a surgery. The surgery was done but a piece of the bone was still growing. The doctor said it is a sickness called a myositis ossifficans and it cannot be cured. The arm was become bigger. The doctors said this abnormal growth would continue to grow. There was no remedy for this. The parents went to Swami Vishwananda who put his hands on the arm of Haresh and made a prayer. After some time the parents went back to the doctor who checked the arm and realized that the growth had stopped completely to grow.

A CONTEMPORAY MIRACLE: THE HEALING OF BISHOP PANTELEIMON OF GHANA in 1985

“I was just 29 years old. I was in the second year of my studies in the Cappodistrian University of Theology, Athens. I left my home island, Kalymnos, on the 8th January 1985, and I traveled to Athens to participate in the January exams. It was exactly after the feast day of St. John, the Baptist of that year. “In two weeks’ time, I became so ill, that I was unable to find any rest. My whole body was in great pain. I had no one next to me. I was completely alone in the house which I had rented from my first year of studies. Few of my best friends noticed that I was attending anymore the lessons. This for them was strange, because I never missed a lesson. They decided to pay me a visit. When I opened the door, they were socked of what they saw. I was so ill and in such pain that they hardly recognized me. They did not hesitate; they took immediately to the Clergy Hospital near St. Barbara, Athens.

I stayed in that Hospital, if I can remember, almost two weeks. But, day by day things became worse. I was afraid to climb down the stairs. I started not to feel my legs. Then the doctors decided to make a sample from the spinal cord. The results were bad. I had to go to lager Hospital, so they sent me on the 10th February to the General Hospital “THE EVANGELISMOS”, Athens.

My sister, Themis, meanwhile had arrived and was with me. I had not informed my family till that time, because I did not know what I had. As I was living the Clergy Hospital, I passed from the small chapel which was dedicated to St. Haralambos, the hieromartyr. I just turn my face to the holy icon of the great Saint and asked him to be with me. We arrived at the General Hospital “THE EVANGELISMOS” and immediately, a team of neurologists put in the spinal cord a special liquid.

That is where they found the main problem. The cancer had spread to the spinal cord and by pressuring it caused the paralysis from the stomach down to the feet. Then they took me into a small waiting room. I was very clear in my mind, not effective by any drugs. I was just waiting patiently for the results and what the doctors had to say. But, suddenly, I heard a man‟s voice speaking to me and saying: “You must not leave Greece, for the Virgin Mary will heal you hear. But, if you leave you shall die”.

I was shocked, in the beginning. I turned my head left and right. No one was in the room. So, I said to my self, that „it was my imagination‟. But, as soon as I relaxed again and as I seeing the medical equipments I heard the same voice speaking to me again saying: “You must not leave Greece, for the Virgin Mary will heal you hear. But, if you leave you shall die”.

And before I had the chance to look around the room, one of the doctors entered the room and said to me: “Father we had decided that you cannot be operated in Greece and that you must leave immediately either for England or for America, the choice is yours. We cannot operate you”. I refused and explained my reasons. I even reveal to him what just took place few minutes ago.

He said: “You know, Father, I am also an Orthodox Christian and I also believe in our God, but here we are dealing with your life. Every second which passes is against you. You must leave at once”. Then, I replied and said: “No, I will not go. I do not know what that voice was, and who spoke to me. But, if it was from God, then I will obey and if you do not want to operate me, then I prefer to die rather than disobey that voice”!

“The doctors had no other choice. My sister Themis and few of my good friends were there with me. One of my Professors, George Gratseas also was present. They operated me on that same day and after ten days they started chemotherapy. Dr. Constantinos Krasanakis was the head surgeon. In the surgeon room, as I was lying down and waiting for Dr. Krasanakis to arrive, I saw the holy icon of the Mother of God and Ever-Virgin Mary. I prayed to Her and said: “Mother of God, I ask you humbly that You make the operation. Use the hands of this doctor and make your miracle for the glory of Your only Son and our God, Jesus Christ”.

It was a difficult period, because every day I faced the danger of death. It was a period of struggle between life and death. But, to be very honest, I never lost my faith and hope, nor my trust in God‟s promise, that He will cure me through His Mother, the Ever-Virgin Mary and Theotokos, and that the Ever Virgin Mary will be my Doctor and Healer.

I needed a lot of patience. Although I was under chemotherapy for six months, the cancer spread throughout many parts of my body. From medical point of view, there was no hope at all. Prof. Dr. Constantinos Alexopoulos,

Pathologist – Oncologist, prepared my family to receive the bad news. His Eminence Nektarios, Archbishop of the Holy Archdiocese of Kalymnos held a meeting with all the priests of the island and discussed the details for the funeral.

But, God’s Grace acts where the human powers end. Everyone was expecting for the final event to come about. Dr. Alexopoulos informed my sister Themis of what the family should expect in two days. “There is no life in his body, the doctor said, so it advisable to inform the whole family”.

I knew nothing of what they had said. But, during that mid-day, as I was speaking with my sister, I experienced the following vision:
“I found myself in countryside, but the villagers had evil faces and were fighting. As soon as they saw me, they started to through against me bombs, hand-grenades and all kind of things. Nothing was touching me. Everything was just falling around me. Then I said to myself: “Look at these people, they fight and do not live in peace. I shall depart from here”. And I found myself in another village, but the conditions were similar to the first. Then I decided to depart from that place. But, as I was walking on the road, two young men, dressed in white long garments, approached me and stood face to face with me. Their faces were so beautiful, that no artist could ever paint them. As I looked in the one’s eyes I was transferred through his body to another world. It was so beautiful!

How can I describe such scenery? Everything, plants, flowers, trees, grass were made out of blue crystal diamond. I remember that I touched a rose. It was unbelievable. Although made out diamond, it was alive, warm and had this heavenly fragrance. I saw no one. But, I felt a strong present that was love and peace. When I looked down, I saw other levels, where I saw many of thousands of people in a happy environment. When I lifted up my head to see once again that most indescribable scenery, I found myself again in front of the two young men. They spook to me and I replied to them. What exactly they said and what I answered, I cannot remember the words or the language. It was a language which was only for that moment. But, as I remember very clearly, the one young man was moving his hand as though he was giving me some instructions to follow. And then I was back again speaking to my sister. Now, she told me, that during those few minutes I was facing the holy icon of Christ and speaking to Him, but she could not understand the words. Actually, she believed that it was my final moment.

Two days passed. The fever never said to come down. Suddenly, one Saturday morning (it must been mid May 1985) at 07:00 am my fever, which for a whole month was over 42.5 C, came down to normal 36.6 C. The nurse was actually quite upset, because she thought I did placed the thermometer correctly. But, I was very sure. She placed it again, and it showed the same results. Then she called my sister Themis, and placed it for the third time. The same results. She called the head-sister, Maria Ktenopoulou to see, but she did not wanted to touch the thermometer, but immediately phoned Prof. Alexopoulos and reported to him of the new events.

Dr. Alexopoulos, hearing the news that fever just came down to normal, replied: “Sister, we all love and respect Fr. Panteleimon, but this young man must die today or maybe tomorrow. You must accept that there is no life in him. He must die”. “Sister Ktenopoulou replied: “Professor, I do not know, if Fr. Panteleimon must die or not. What I know and see this moment is that his fever has just disappeared and it is the only chance for you to come and see for yourself”!
The Professor arrived at the Hospital before noon. He was very upset, that they dragged him to my room. He sat down and did not say, “Good morning”. He took the thermometer and when he saw that it was 36.6 C, he could not believe his eyes. So he putted it again and held it for 12 minutes. When he removed it and saw the same results, he stood up, turned the other doctors and said: “What is happening in this room is not from us, but only a God could do these things. Nevertheless, it is a sing for us” and he gave to each one of them special instructions.

The following Monday, he visited me very early in the morning. He sat next to me and asked me “How do you feel”? I replied and said: “O.K., doctor, but no different”! He said to me: “You know, you are like St. Lazarus, but in a different way. He died and was placed in the tomb for four whole days. You were dying and yet you, before we could put you in the tomb, you just jumped out”. “So, what is your point, Professor”, I asked. He replied: “My point is that on Saturday morning, between 6:00 and 7:00 am something happened and it is the only chance which we have to examine”. I asked: “Well, what happened”? “I really do not know. But, this is the only chance to see. But we need to make some examinations”.

Detail medical examinations followed. The result was that no cancer was found. The miracle took place. I thank God for His mercy, which He showed to me through His Mother, the Theotokos and Ever-Virgin Mary. For the above reason, I am in the position to say to all of you: “Have faith in God. You must have solid faith and steadfastness. Do not allow the thoughts of doubt to reign in your hearts, but rather trust yourselves to the Will of God”. This experience I wrote for the glory of God and for the glory of the Mother of God, our Lady, the Ever-Virgin Mary, the Theotokos.

Sri Swami Vishwananda Speaks of getting in touch with the Spiritual Body

Excerpt from Sri Swami Vishwananda's talk on Easter Sunday 2011 in Shree Peetha Nilaya's Chapel:

"...And you see the humility of Christ through death, through taking the Cross, and then on the third day showing that He is beyond the body, showing that God is beyond life and death. So He Resurrected, again. He became alive, again, to show that within the body of man lies the spiritual body and when one is in touch with that spiritual body, one is connected with the Christ within. One gets awakened within one’s Self the Christ. That’s what Christ said, “I am the Way, the Truth and the Light. There is no other way than me to the Father”, which means until one becomes like the Son of God.

Likewise, if one doesn’t become like all the Saints who have become One with Christ, Realisation or the Fullness of the Mystery of God is hidden to the eyes of man, is hidden to the mind of man. Only when we are in Communion with Christ, when we are in Communion with the Divine and when this Love is awakened – not a love that we comprehend here in the mind, but a Love which is far deep within One’s Self – from the depth of your heart this Love gets awakened, then Christ acts through each one."

"...when one is in touch with that spiritual body, one is connected with the Christ within" and only then can we heal ourselves when "...the Fullness of the Mystery of God..." is no longer hidden from us. Then we can heal ourselves through our faith.

Sri Swami Vishwananda Speaks of Healing and Resurrection

"...He [Jesus Christ] is calling everybody to Resurrect with Him and to let the old one who is inside of you die and let the new one resurrect together with Him. That is the Resurrection of Christ...to show that Resurrection is possible, to show that Realisation, God-Realisation or your True [Self] Realisation is possible, He has shown it. He has shown the Way. That is why He said: I am the Way, the Truth and the Light. ....."

To heal ourselves we must "...let the old one who is inside...die and let the new one resurrect together with Him." At midnight last night in the beautiful, icon-filled chapel of Shree Peetha Nilaya, the celebration of the Resurrection of Christ began with the lighting of the Pascha Candle by Sri Swami Vishwananda and the spreading outward of the Light from candle to candle.

Sri Swami Vishwananda's Advice for Healing Negativity

Swami Vishwananda said Sunday at the Darshan in Bruges, Belgium: "...turning the mind within. What is happening outside is also happening inside. Does all the outside make us happy? No! We can see too much suffering in the outside. We want change. So, how do we change all this? We must change! The more we focus on negative things – news, chit-chatting – the more we become negative. The more negative energy we create, the more negative things happen. Better is to be calm, be at peace and go inside. Go in calmness into the depths of your heart. Then you will become a temple of inner peace."

Worldwide OM Healing with over 1000 people

Based on reports we received from a number of OM Healing groups, an estimated well over 1000 people participated in last Saturday's worldwide monthly full moon OM HEALING session dedicated to our Mother Bhudevi and, especially the part of Her that is JAPAN!

Currently there are over 300 active OM Healing groups across the globe, and many* join in when we come together once a month for a joint big international OM Healing session during a full moon period. For example, in our group here at Shree Peetha Nilaya, Shri Swami Vishwananda's home and International Spiritual Centre, in Springen, Germany, we had around 50 participants and in Cudrefin/Switzerland there were well over 30 participants, so while we do not currently systematically collect statistical data, we can confidently say that our estimate is solid.

When we come together and join our forces to help others, whether it is in OM Healing or in common prayer, we can achieve astonishing things. Even though the people of Japan do not know us personally and vice-versa, we hope that our joint chanting was strong enough to touch them in a significant way, providing strength, healing and comfort.~~~Swami Vishwakurunandhanananda

You all have heard about the sad news of the Tsunami in Japan. The tragedy moves our hearts and at the same time reminds us of how powerful the force of nature is and how perishable the matter.
For many people it is a time of reconsidering their lives and life motives. It is also a time for change...

We all would like to concentrate on Saturday, 19th of March during the full moon OM Healing from 8.-9.30 p.m. as well as during the whole next month on helping the affected areas in Japan. We want to send the entire healing energy, light and love that is generated through the numerous OM Healing circles worldwide to Japan for minimizing the impact of the disaster.

May all people and all souls find their peace and Divine support. May we reconnect more and more with our beloved Mother Earth, as we are her children. She continuously gives to us what we need to lead a life of fulfillment. May our actions and decisions as a humanity towards Her and each other be based on Love, respect and wisdom.

... this night of Shivaratri you can awake this Divine Consciousness inside of you, awake this Love, and let Lord Shiva, Lord Panduranga, the Divine Mother, awake, also.....

...this night is a very auspicious night and what you receive this night, all the other nights you don’t receive that. The Grace of the Lord, the Grace of Lord Shiva, the Grace of God, you receive it by chanting the Divine Name, by chanting OM Namah Shivaya, by chanting Panduranga, Krishna’s Name. It doesn’t matter whose Name you’re chanting. The main thing is that you are connecting with God throughout the night....

...It’s not just God is saying “This one, I like his face. I will give him, how [do you] say, bring him on the spiritual path.” It’s not like that. You are here because in previous lives you have worked hard and this life, also, you are working hard, but this time, [different] from other times, it’s a very special time. All times are special, but [at] the moment we are living in a very specific time where God is giving Himself to you, whereas another time you have to run towards Him, but in this time He is running towards you. Rarest and most auspicious occurence! Sri Swami Vishwananda gave birth to a second Hiranyagarbha Golden Lingam this afternoon. They symbolize the two eyes of Narayana and the two creational forces of the Universe (female/male, Shakti/Shiva, etc.).

Swamiji said (excerpt) about the Hiranyagarbalingams: You see, these two Hiranyagarbalingams symbolise here the two eyes of Narayana. And they symbolise the unity of the two forces, the two hemispheres of the world, the Northern hemisphere and the southern hemisphere and the hemispheres of the universe, also. You see, you are aware only of the hemispheres of this world, but the whole universe is governed by these two cosmic energies, which are the female energy and the male energy. That is what makes everything [come] into manifestation. These two lingams, the Hiranyagarbalingams, that you see, symbolise these two cosmic energies – which you can call it Shiva/Shakti, Laxmi/Narayan and Brahma/Vishnu – in their fullness. Lord Narayana shows that all is present within Him. the Creator, the Protector and the Destroyer is only Him.

Sri Swami Vishwananda Love Incarnate

In the previous post Elizabeth from Poland said the following about her meditation with Mahavatar Kriya Babaji:

"I felt enormous Love. This Love slowly started filling each of my cells. There was peace and the realisation that I was not alone and never should be and that He will always be with me."

This reminded me of my experience with Sri Swami Vishwananda at the very first darshan of His that I was blessed to attend. As I knelt before Him looking into and drowning in His shining, soft & warm brown eyes, I felt enormous Love, also. It wrapped It's arms around me and completely enveloped me in the most wondrous warmth and feeling of Oneness and I knew for just a little that we are all this huge Love. This was so profound and healing for me as I'd felt so separate all my life and never before remembered my connection with the Divine. He is Ever Near

I’ve had close contact with Babaji on two occasions. The first time was when He came to me in a dream as an extremely marvelous, shining figure, which is very hard to put into words. The second time was when He appeared in my meditation about one month ago. For a long time I had experienced hardships in my personal and professional life. In addition, for months I had suffered from illness, lived in permanent pain and met financial problems. As a result of all of that I started to slip out from the spiritual sphere of life. Daily spiritual practice, meditation and prayers became more and more difficult.

Finally, I encountered the straw that broke the camel's back and started falling into the depths of darkness. I felt that, after many years, that I was falling, again, into the clutches of depression and that this time it wouldn’t go away so easily. However, when the situation was very bad and I felt completely alone in the world, something was telling me to “stand up, rise one more time, you can do it, sit down, start breathing calmly, try to think about God for a little while”. So I did. Although tears were flowing down my cheeks, my throat was choked with pain and I didn’t believe in the sense of what I was doing, I started praying. Some time passed – I have no idea how much – and then, the marvelous figure of Lord Babaji appeared to me – transparent, radiating wonderful light. I felt I was not the same person any more. I felt enormous Love. This Love slowly started filling each of my cells. There was peace and the realisation that I was not alone and never should be and that He will always be with me.

I believe that He is always with every one of us. Maybe He is especially present when it seems that there is nothing. I know that if He hadn’t helped me, I wouldn’t have managed. It was a real miracle.

For me Babaji is Pure Love, simply the Love that you want to achieve. In the past I thought that the biggest happiness came from being loved. Now, I understand that, actually, it is the opposite that brings you happiness – which is to Love others. ~~~Elisabeth from Poland ~~~

In the words of Sri Swami Vishwananda, "We could be free, but our mind doesn't let us be free. We can see the Lord everywhere, but our pride always stops us. We can Love Him, but our expectation is always there, too. When one lets go of these three things, one will be really, fully into Him.

Above all, He is the manifestation of Love. He is the manifestation of who we are, all of us. In Him Love is manifested in the outside, in everything that He expresses, in every action of His, but in humans it is manifested deep inside, because we don't let it out. We are scared of it. We are scared of our true Self. We are scared of what we have inside, but yet, we crave for that. We want it. We are looking for this Love, but it's not on the outside, it is inside of one."

Sri Swami Vishwananda's Blessed OM Healing Circles

I saw Babaji (like the one on the picture which my mother has on her altar but younger) half a minute after the OM Healing Circle had started standing next to a person in the circle who was chanting OM. With his hands he was showering red petals on her head. Through the channels in her body the golden light was flowing to her feet and through her feet black energy was leaving to the earth.

Black colour was not negative or bad, but, as it seemed to me, whatever was coming out from this woman was to heal the earth and that the earth needed it.

When Babaji finished with that person he moved on to do the same to all present in the OM Healing Circle. He showered everybody with the petals, one by one, and I saw this golden light flowing through everybody down to the feet and then to the earth. After the OM Healing session many testified that they had heard a man's deep voice singing with all of us and everybody said that they had felt somebody was beside them. The whole room had a wonderful fragrance after the OM Healing Circle finished. ~~~Stela~~~

31^st December it will have been two years Since my first experience with Om Healing. It was New Year's Eve when my friends and I sat in a circle and… it flowed. Literally because when I heard the New Year’s fireworks I heard them like they were emanating from completely different world. I felt like I was sailing across the entire ocean, carried by the all-embracing Om sound. It was a groundbreaking moment as many positive changes entered upon my life afterwards. Since that moment I take part in Om Healing regularly. Usually that means once a week. Once, there were nobody in my hometown to lead the Om Healing so I asked Sri Swami Vishwananda for the blessing. That is exactly how I became one of the leaders.

How did Om Healing help me? Above all I am much more peaceful and calm now and finally I overcame my depression which have been lasting for the last 8 years, with short intervals. I have not been taking any antidepressants because I do not need them anymore. What is more, half a year ago I even resigned from my therapy. My psyche is now strong enough to get along well just by myself. Thanks to that I can carry on developing my spirituality. I am able to exercise Atma Kriya. Problems with the insomnia disappeared as well. I strongly believe that, as the time goes by, thanks to Om Healing practice other health problems will be also gone. As any other treatment, Om Healing requires time and patience to overcome not only the signs of the illness but also its real, underlying cause.

I fervently encourage everybody to practice Om Healing as the most beautiful thing one can gain from this technique is not only the openness of one’s heart for the disinterested, divine love but the fact that during the practice of Om Healing we can emit this light of love to every being which is in need as well. ~~~Elizabeth

Healing Mauritius Sept-Oct. 2010

Suniti is a 42 year old devotee of Sri Swami Vishwananda who lives on the island of Mauritius. She has known Swamiji since He was a child. She had been having severe headaches and, also, feelings of giddiness in September and October 2010.

She went to the doctor who sent her to hospital. The doctors of the hospital diagnosed that a vein was broken and was bleeding inside her head. To repair this internal bleeding, the doctor said she would need surgery and if she didn’t have the surgery she could become paralyzed or even die suddenly. He advised her to go to South Africa to undergo the surgery.

Suniti’s sister called Swamiji’s aunty and explained to her what Suniti’s doctors had diagnosed and that surgery was advised. Swami was, at that time, in Kenya. His aunty called Swamiji in Kenya and told him all the story. Swamiji said “No, she has nothing. There is no need to go to Africa. It is nothing to worry about and it will disappear when left alone.”

After hearing this from the aunty, the sister called Sri Swami Vishwananda directly to ask if He was really sure. Swamiji told her “ Yes. She doesn’t need to go for surgery. Tell the doctor to let her free and the headache will disappear soon.”

As the doctor was insisting more and more, the family decided to try and collect the funds to send Suniti to Africa for surgery, but they could not afford the expenses for the flight to Africa and the surgery, so the Ministry of Health of Mauritius gave them financial assistance. Before they flew, Swamiji called Suniti’s sister at 4h AM before the flight to tell her not to take Suniti on the plane and that these expenses were not necessary. But the doctors insisted so much that she and Suniti flew to Durban to the hospital specializing in this type of surgery. There the doctors made an examination and diagnostic tests and saw that the bleeding had stopped and they said there was no need for an operation just as Sri Swami Vishwananda had foreseen.

Suniti went back home and has no more headaches.

A story of Healing

Healing from myositis ossifficans

The father of the child told this story the 15^th of January 2011. His son, called Haresh Burun, had his arm broken. The bone was not healing well and an abnormal growth could be seen on the arm. The doctor said surgery was required. The surgery was done, but a piece of the bone was still growing. The doctor said it was a disease called myositis ossifficans* and it could not be cured. The child’s arm was becoming bigger. The doctors said this abnormal growth would continue growing and that there was no remedy for this.

The parents, with their son, went to Sri Swami Vishwananda who put his hands on Haresh’s arm and made a prayer. After some time the parents went back to the doctor who checked the child’s arm and found that the growth had stopped completely to grow.

a rare inherited disease in which muscle tissue is replaced by bone. It begins in childhood, with stiffness in the neck and back, and progresses to rigidity of the spine, trunk, and limbs. The administration of diphosphonates1 may prevent the abnormal deposition of bone, but there is no cure after it has occurred. Metabolism of calcium and phosphate remains normal throughout the course of the disease.

The following story from Sri Swami Vishwananda's new book of his talks, JUST LOVE, is a metaphor for the path to healing and, of course, for the Guru Disciple relationship. ;)

So one day they asked the bamboo, “Tell us the secret of it. What secret do you have, that the Lord treasures you so much?”

About surrendering, there is a beautiful story about the flute of Krishna. You know Krishna always holds a flute in his hand, but there is a great story behind it. Everyday Krishna would go in the garden and say to all the plants “I love you.” The plants were very happy and responded back and said “Krishna, we love You, too.” One day Krishna rushed quickly into the garden very alarmed. He went to the bamboo plant and the bamboo plant asked “Krishna, what’s wrong with you?” Krishna said “I have something to ask you, but it is very difficult.” The bamboo said “Tell me. If I can, I will give it to you.” So Krishna said “I need your life. I need to cut you.” The bamboo thought for a while and then said “You don’t have any other choice? You don’t have any other way?” Krishna said “No, no other way.” And it said “OK, I surrender to you.”

So Krishna cut the bamboo, made holes in it, and each time, while he was doing that, the bamboo was crying with pain, because he was paining the bamboo so much. Krishna made a beautiful flute out of it. And this flute was with Krishna all the time. 24 hours a day, it was with Krishna. Even the Gopis were jealous of the flute. They said “Look, Krishna is our Lord, but yet we get to spend only some time with him. He wakes up with you, He sleeps with you, all the time you are with him.” So one day they asked the bamboo, “Tell us the secret of it. What secret do you have, that the Lord treasures you so much?” And the bamboo said “The secret is that I’m empty inside. And the Lord does whatever he wants with me, whenever he wants and however he wants with me.”

So this is complete surrender: where God can do whatever He wants with you, whenever He wants, as He wants. And for that you don’t need to be scared, you know, you have just to give yourself. And who is your Self in Reality? It’s just Him! In the Gita, Krishna said: Everything is Me. In the Bible, Christ said: Give what belongs to Caesar to Caesar and what belongs to God, to God. But what belongs to God? It is your spirit. It is your true Self. If you want to Realise your Self, be like the flute! Make your prayer like this “Lord, do whatever you want with me, whenever you want with me, and however you want with me.” excerpt from Just Love: The Essence of Everything

We are a group of volunteers based in Nairobi who have formed a Seva society. We believe that through love and selfless deeds we can make a difference and create a life changing moment for the less fortunate. We are committed to serving the less fortunate children by visiting homes in Nairobi and offering them with what we can such as Food, Wheelchairs etc. We endeavor to visit one home every month.

OUR RECENT SEVA WAS ON 25TH DECEMBER 2010

The Swami Viswahanda Seva Society volunteers arranged a seva day for the 25th December 2010 at Caroline Wambui Mungai Foundation. This is a foundation that was formed in the memory of Caroline. The foundation was established in December 2004 to rescue orphans and vulnerable children from poverty to destiny with love.

We wanted to celebrate Christmas day with the children. Christmas day is the day when Jesus was born. Celebrating Christmas is not just to attend to churches, Midnight masses or Bhajan singing, but it’s much deeper than that. This is the day when Jesus brought something new to the world, which is forgiveness, Compassion and Love. There are many Avatars, saints and prophets who have taught and brought Love to people, but Jesus brought Love and forgiveness. This is the day when you pray to remind yourself of the forgiveness by firstly forgiving yourself for whatever you have done wrong followed by forgiving others who have wronged you.

It’s not about God forgiving you, but it’s about forgiving yourself first. And after that, focus on the Love that you carry inside of you. This is day when he is born inside each one of us. And this rebirth should not only be there during Christmas time but should be there all the time. Dareel a 13 year old boy from Mauritius tells his story:

In 1996 Dareel was a two year old baby. He was born dumb. One day, the aunty of Dareel took him to Swami, who was 17 years old at the time. She carried him in her arms. When small Dareel saw Swami Vishwananda he started to speak. Swami Vishwananda put a necklace made of shells on him. An evening of February 2006 Dareel came to the Ashram in Quatres-Bornes for prayers. After having spoken with Dareel, Swami said to me:

“This temple here in the ashram is made for those who are poor materially but who have great spiritual faith. It is the faith which cures people.”

“But in the case of Dareel, he could not have faith. He was too young to understand what had happened to him.”

“Yes, that is something between him and me. The miracles increase the faith of people.”

“Why did you have put a necklace of shells after having cured him?” I asked.

“The shell is the symbol of Vishnu.”

In the year 2000, a sty appeared in one of my eyes that necessitated a minor operation. When I returned home Swami Vishwananda was there and he asked me to please remove the bandage from my eye. I was astonished greatly to see that there was no mark of an incision. For recuperation from this operation I had two weeks free of work; happily I was very pleased to spend this time with Swamiji.

Healing of a cancerous tumour through Swami Vishwananda

During Swami Vishwananda’s first visit to the United States in Boulder in 2005, someone gave Swami Vishwananda a photo to bless, saying the woman in the picture’s name was Margaret and that she would be having surgery for a cancerous tumour the following day. When the next day arrived, they opened her up to find her tumour gone. All they found was a little infection where Margaret’s tumour had been.

In the summer of 1999, I sat with Swami Vishwananda in his parents' house in Mauritius. A young boy of nineteen years old travelled from far on his motorbike to visit Swami Vishwananda for the first time. He said that his father had many dreams of Swami Vishwananda, although he had not actually met him. The young boy was curious to know why Vishwananda was communicating with his father in this bizarre manner? Vishwananda conversed at length with the young man while I sat beside them. They swopped tales and laughed wholeheartedly while getting to know each other better. Suddenly Swami Vishwananda playfully hit him on his hip. The young boy was amazed to find out the pain that had troubled him for many years had gone. Swami Vishwananda said jokingly: "Tell your father that your pain on your hip is gone and you came here for this reason only."

A quick healing

In 2000 I got a stye in my eye and did a minor operation. Swami Vishwananda had come to Mauritius for some weeks. When I went back home Swami Vishwananda asked me to remove the bandage which I did.

I was astonished to see that there was no mark of incision. For this operation I had two weeks off and was happy to spend them with Swamiji.

I went back to Mauritius in 1998 as my grandmother was seriously ill and the doctors had given up hope, and informed the family that she did not have long to live. I remember at the time I visited her first and then went to stay with Swami Vishwananda. Whilst talking to him about the situation he said “I don’t feel it’s our grandmother’s time to leave this body. She will recover even though the doctors have predicted that she has only two days to live”. Two days later our grandmother’s health had not only improved and she had walked all the way to my uncle’s (Swami’s father) house to visit us!

Asthma healing by Swami Vishwananda

I was an asthmatic for several years. One day, Swami Vishwananda called out to me
“Suraj, come here! Lie down on the bed.”
“But I am not sleepy!” I shouted back.
“I am not asking you to sleep, but to lie down! Lazy, you only think of sleeping!” he replied.
He put his hand on my throat and then on my chest. I felt severe heat going into my throat and chest area. Slowly my whole chest grew numb due to the heat. Swami Vishwananda then asked me to get up. I could not feel my chest, and this feeling lasted for about one hour. From that day on, my asthma never bothered me again.

A new life

On August 15th 2001, I was witness to a miracle that I will never in my life forget. My mother was taken ill very suddenly, suffering from some cardiac problems. While I was with her in the hospital, I phoned Swami Vishwananda and told Him about the current situation. As I was speaking to Him the doctors were trying to start my mother’s heart with electric shocks. Swami was very upset saying that she was like His own mother and to tell her that He was coming to see her and that she should wait for Him. The next day, He arrived at the hospital and went directly to see my mother. She had been unconscious since the previous night. When Swami came and stood by her bedside she opened her eyes and said to Him, “It is you. You came and saw me yesterday!” Swami Vishwananda reassured her saying that she should not worry and that she would soon be cured. Her health gradually got better but then after a week she became seriously ill again and all her vital organs stopped functioning. The doctors even told us that she would be taking her final breath any day now. While she was unconscious she saw St Antonio of Padua and Lord Ganesha. The next day all her organs started functioning normally again. The doctors pronounced it a miracle! During her recovery she noticed that she had acquired a large cyst which was causing her a lot of pain. She asked Swami Vishwananda if He could help her and He said, “Don’t worry, it will disappear.” That night, whiles she was sleeping she felt a hand touching the cyst and trying to remove it. She woke up at this point feeling extreme pain, as if someone had cut out the cyst. She fell asleep once more and on awaking the next morning she found that the cyst had completely vanished!

Twelve years waiting for a child

A couple in Mauritius wanted to have children since twelve years without success. They went to Swami Vishwananda and gave them a blessed coconut. After this they got a child. Thanking God and Swami, they say that their child is Swami’s child.

Healing an eye complaint with a Shiva Lingam

Lingams develop inside of Swami Vishwananda. They are created inside his stomach and are expelled from his mouth in a matter of seconds. I have been fortunate enough to witness this great event many times. I cannot say for sure, but I imagine they are formed by the action of intense love in his heart. A universe is symbolized in the form of an egg. A lingam can differ in size from a thimble to a large egg. In the early days the lingam crystals were different in colour and recently some have been produced in bright gold.

In 1999, after a long darshan in London which lasted into the early hours of the morning, we stayed overnight at a family friend’s home. We woke up much later that morning and had begun to prepare breakfast. Swami Vishwananda came into the kitchen. He sat down but did not want to eat as yet. Several minutes later he went into the living room because he had a belly ache. Some minutes later, the mother of the family went into the lounge and saw how Vishwananda’s lips were bleeding. He was holding a lingham in his hand. It was a huge egg shape lingham ressembling a dark black agate. The mother of the house was taking care of Vishwananda. Just after Vishwananda sat with us at the table he showed us the lingam. He remarked that an elderly lady would ring the doorbell soon and she would need the lingam to heal her eyes.
Some minutes later, as stated by Swami Vishwananda, in walked the woman and got her lingam. A year later I enquired about the health of the woman and was happy to hear her eye ailment was a thing of the past.

Jalousie Healing through Swami Vishwananda

On an occasion, during a Darshan in the year 2004, we were sitting in a room that was packed out. We were singing bhajans and some people came late. Swami needed someone to sit next to Him and give him the Vibhuti packets. A young woman who was new in our “friends circle” was very quick in offering herself to assist Him. I was very hurt and also jealous. The question of why she had pushed herself forward in this manner was in my mind. Swami also didn’t seem to mind her doing this and sitting next to Him. I was quite angry. After Darshan I was cleaning the room. The young woman was again sitting next to Him in the car. I was jealous, like a bitter, old housewife. Later, when we reached home, I unloaded the car. Swami came to me and said: “It was a nice evening, wasn’t it?” I stood there and thought to myself, Oh my God, no! Then I answered: “I am very angry, I am totally jealous! Why was that lady sitting beside You all the time? I organize everything and she pushes herself to the front all the time! I don’t want to be so jealous, please take all these bad feelings and these bad thoughts from me. I don’t want to be like this!” Then I started crying. Swami placed His arm around me and consoled me. In that moment He must have “healed” me. That topic is now totally over for me and I was never jealous again. Now I like that young woman a lot and she has even become a good friend of mine. The next day Swami said: “Eva, I liked it very much that you came directly to me and talked about this. I like how you handled the situation!”

Back problem

I once had a back problem and was unable to sit or even stand properly. Swami Vishwananda simply stood on my toes and in a second I was healed and no longer felt any pain in my back.

Il ya quelques années, j’ai dû subir une intervention chirurgicale avec pose de plaques pour double hernie inguinale. Plus récemment une visite chez le médecin me diagnostique une éventration: "Il va falloir opérer", me dit-il. Après en avoir parlé à Swami Vishwananda, celui-ci me dit d’attendre trois mois avant cette opération. Trois mois plus tard, je fais une échographie et celle-ci indique que non seulement il n’y a plus d’éventration mais également même plus de traces internes de l’intervention subie çinq ans auparavant. Plus de traces des plaques non plus !

Merci Swami Vishwananda. Merci aussi de m’aider à développer toujours plus de tolérance, d’humilité et de m’apprendre à apprécier ce silence où demeure la présence de Dieu.

Brain tumor healing

I first met Swami Vishwananda on the 15th December 1995. People had been asking me to go and see Him previous to this occasion, but something always got in the way and I think that perhaps the time was not yet ripe for me to meet Him. I first met Him through a lady who was very ill at the time, as she was suffering from leukemia and a brain tumor. While she was at the clinic seeking advice from the doctors, I went with one of her relatives to seek help from Swami Vishwananda. Swamiji said “Listen, she will come to see me this Sunday morning straight from the clinic.” Just as He had predicted, she visited Swami on Sunday morning straight after she had attended the clinic. Since that day medical treatments, together with Swami Vishwananda’s blessings, have kept her in good health.

Heart problem healing

I had Heart problem in 2000. I could not work more, I could not walk more. The doctors said that the problem was very serious and they send me to the Hospital. After 8 days lying in the Hospital the son of a friend of mine came to see me at the hospital. The boy who knew Swami Vishwananda gave me a small pack of Vibhuti coming from Him for me. Baba made a miracle with me, I ate the vibhuti and was three months latter completely healed. Thank you very much Swami.
